DT Sketchy Colors - Challenge #48 & GD 3ndypapir

I'm soooo lucky to be a GD for 3ndypapir this month, and have again been able to play with Gudrun's georgeous Christmas papers :)
This time I've made a Tea-light card, but in a different size than before. The card is a bit smaller and squarer, and the box has room for 3 tea-lights insted of 4.

Size: 12,5 x 13 cm

Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee, Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap.

Stamp: Stempelglede - text.

Papers: 3ndypapir - "Mathilde" (DP) & "Julie" (image & frames),
Bazzill - red & white cardstock.

Tools: Spellbinders - Nesting Classic Circles.

Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts - Poinsettias, Paper Roses 10 mm & Pearl Stamens,
Kort & Godt - Pearls, Unik Hobby - Methal & Ribbon,
Tattered Angels - Glimmer Mist "Pearl".

DT Sketchy Colors Challenge #41 V:S DT Unik Hobby October Stamp Challenge

Sketchy Colors is back with a new challenge - Challenge #41 and a new sketch made by me!

Again, I've combined my SC challenge with my Unik Hobby challenge;
For my October challenge, Malene at Unik Hobby, gave me this cute "Little Witch" stamp from Whiff of Joy with a sentiment attached.
I imediately thought of the words "Halloween" and "candles" when I saw this stamp, so I decided to make a Halloweenish giftbox out of it :)

I've made a tea-light box with a card on top this time - hope you enjoy!

Ink: Adirondack - Espresso, Archival Ink - Jet Black, Distress Ink - Black Soot & Tea Dye.

Stamps: Whiff of Joy - "Little Witch" + Sentiment (inside), hÄnglar & stÄnglar - text.

Papers: My Minds Eye - The Spiders Web "Pumpkin Patch", BoBunny - Beau "Jardin Harvest", Bazzill - Yam & Raven cardstock, Letrazet - Cartridge Paper, sketch paper.

Tools: Spellbinders - Nesting Classic Circles & Squares, Martha Stewart - Iron Gate edge punch, Cuttlebug - Spiderweb embossing folder, Stampin'Up! - Word Window Punch, transparancy.

DT Ett trykk: Issue 04/10 Tutorial Tea-Light Card

In the August issue of Ett trykk/Norsk Stempelblad, I made a tutorial on how to make a tea-light card.

The brain behind the original tea-light card, is actually German, but we couldn't manage to find out who,

so I started out by drawing a new template with "wings" to close the "box" :)

You're welcome to try out my template and tutorial, but I'll appreciate if you'll link back to me, if you publish a tea-light card where you've used my kind of template!

Start by cutting out the template in a piece of cardstock that messures 22 x 30 cm. Cut and score as the template shows.

Punch/cut out panels in the shapes/sizes/papers you want for your card, stamp and ink.

Glue the panels in DP to the cardstock, and remember to cut out the stripe where the candles will show.

If you want the card to be held together with ribbon, you must cut a small opening where you want the ribbon, in the line where the "tea-light box" will be glued (you can take a closer look at where I've placed the cut further down).

...and the other.

Fasten the images/texts, and fasten the ribbon on the backside, by gluing your perconal stamp over it.

When all the pieces are glued to the card, you can glue the "box" to the card, by adding glue on the left 1cm stripe of the cardstock (on the front side of it - this pic is showing the backside of the "box").

Now you can fill the card with tea-lights, and embellish it the way you like :)

Size: 12,5 x 16 cm

Ink: Archival Ink - Jet Black for stamping, Distress Ink - Victorian Velvet for inking the edges.

Stamps: Norsk Stempelblad AS - sentiments.

Papers: Maja Design - DP, Bazzill - antique pink cardstock, sketch paper.

Tools: Spellbinders - Nesting Mega Long & Scalloped Ovals.

Embellishments: Kort & Godt - pearls and ribbon, Storyteller - hvite flowers, Hobbyhimmelen - lilies.

Sketchy Colors Challenge #20

Another sunday has again arrived, and even though I'm at the big stamp-and scrap event "Scraporama" in Lillestrøm, I'm still ready with my card for Sketchy Colors Challenge #20 :)

Long time ago, I'd see some great tea-light cards in several blogs, and thougt they where a great idea for a little "gift" to a friend, or a family member, who deserves a little something.

I never got to make one - until now, and it won't be the last! Fun :)

I don't remember where I found the template to make these cards, but I discovered that my DT-friend Marianne made one of these earlier this week, and she had found a great tutorial here!
