DT Sketh Saturday Week #118 & Some ;( News

Another Saturday, another challenge at Sketch Saturday :)

I've had a hard time lately dealing with perconal things in my life, and when one of my dearest familymembers suddenly died on tuesday, my whole world fell apart.
The last few days have been very tough on me, but they have also made me "realize" that there's so much more important things in life - than just crafting.
So, until I'm back on my feet, there's going to be some quiet times on my blog

It is with a great deal of sadness, I'm posting this SS card! I've decided to step down from my DT position at SS, so this is going to be my last DT card for this amazing Challenge blog - and team!

DT Sketchy Colors Challenge #35

DT LOTV Challenge #61

The card was made during my summer holliday, at my mam & dad's cabin, so

DT Unik Hobby - August Stamp Challenge

For my August Stamp Challenge, Malene at Unik Hobby gave me this cute stamp from Stampavie - Penny Johnson's "My Little Lamb". She also asked if I could make something out of a kraft chipboard album from Inkido - and so I did :)

I started out cutting off one square of the album, so that I could glue it together as a card with two pockets.
Then I covered it with beautiful DP, and embellished it with the cute coloured image, ribbons, a charm, pearls, flowers and a nice sentiment.
Then I made two oval tags with a sentiment on each, and placed them inside the pockets.

Recipe:

Size: 12,5 x 12,5 cm

Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee for stamping, Distress Ink - Broken China for inking the edges & Refills for colouring the image.

Stamps: Stampavie - Penny Johnson "My Little Lamb", Kort & Godt - text collections "Glad i deg/Venner" & "Gode ønsker" (Friends & Congratulations).

Papers: Maja Design - Mina Vänner Carina 1, Bazzill - white cardstock, aquarellpaper 200g, Inkido - Dragspelsalbum (chipboard album).

Tools: Spellbinders - Petite Oval and Petite Scalloped Oval for the image, EK Success - Scalloped Diamond edge punch for the front/opening of the card,  EK Success - Rock Fern punch (leaf), Craft - Super Jumbo circle punch for the openings/pockets, Crop-A-Dile with eyelets to make holes in the tags, magnets to keep the card closed.

Embellishments: Unik Hobby - ribbon & charm, Cherry Blossoms,  paper roses & Gypsophilas, Basic Grey - Bling It (pearls & rhinestones), Rainbow glitter on the flowers.

DT LOTV Challenge #60 + A Sneekpeek & My Promarker Debut

Since we decided to have a new challenge every week at Lili of the Valley's Challenge Blog, we decided to go for a theme and a sketch every other week :)

And for this Challenge #60, we have come up with a great theme for you: All 4 Seasons!!!

Since LOTV has a huge range of image stamps, it shouldn't be to difficult to find stamps to suite all 4 of the year's seasons, should it?

Lili of the Valley is soon going to releese a new collection of Christmas stamps:

 LOTV Christmas Animals!!! And today some of the DT's will show you sneekpeeks from the new collection - so don't forget to visit all of the other talented little fairies to get some peeks of the new cuties :)

I have to admit, I've not exactly been a fan of animal stamps before, but when I saw the new James the Bear Christmas images, I fell in looove :) And even more, after they made my promarker colouring "finally" work :)

I've always sworn to my Distress Inks when it comes to colouring, but when I was in Leksand earlier this summer together with my friend Maya, I finally "gave in", and bought my self some Promarkers, after reciving a handfull of them as a gift from Lisa *hugs* :) During the summer I've bought some more, and now I have about 60 Promarkers (and I know I will buy several more :)

So, during my last week of Summer holliday, I finally got some time to practice with my Promarkers...

The first one ended up in the trash...so did the other one...and the third...and the fourth...and even the fift!!!

Nearly giving up, but then I decided to try out this little cutie called James the Bear "In the Snow" from LOTV, and suddenly it all fell in to places :)

I know I'll need lots of more practecing to get the light/shadows right,
