Hi folks!
On Saturday I held a course at Unik Hobby for 8 people - 1 gentleman and 7 ladies!
Thank you so much for participating, and for giving me lots of positive credit :)
We started the course with colouring a Sarah Kay image from Stampavie with Distress Ink refills.
The intension for the colouration part, was that the participants should learn a bit about light and shadow, and how to work with the brush, to get the best possible result.
The colours we used for the image, was the same as the colours in the papers we used to make the basket.
The participants also learned how to mask the image, and make a shadow around it with ink.
Colours used on this image:
Skin: Tattered Rose and Tea Dye
Cheeks: Tea Dye + Fired Brick
Hair: Scattered Straw and Brushed Corduroy
Hat-ribbon, sweather, pathes and "chicken": Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed
Hat and pants: Dusty ConcordAfter colouring, the participants learned how to make a braided basket -
this time a little easter basket in the colours of yellow and purple.
The edges on the purple paper stripes are inked with Distress Ink - Dusty Concord, and
the yellow ones with Antique Linen or Scattered Straw.
Then the basket where embellished with the image, ribbon, lace, charms, flowers and pearls.
