Hiya!

I finally got around making a new card with one of the fabolus images from

Scrapbook Stamp Society/Addicted To Stamps :)

I've used the beautiful image by the fantastic artist Mitzi Sato-Wiuff called October Rose, coloured her with Prismacolors, and made a regular standing card.

I wanted the image to be in the spotlight of this card, so I decided to use very little embellishments this time - very unlike me :)

For my challenge card today, I've made a Pocket-Tag Card, using an incredable cute image from Bildmålarna (that I got from a really sweet friend of mine a while ago - tusen takk Hanne!), and lots of delightful embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts, ofcourse.

Size: 6" x 6"/6 1/2"

Christmas Basket with a Tutorial

Just one day to go - at least here in Norway :)
I'm looking soooooooo much forward to some Holiday freetime now!

But first, I thought I'd show you a Christmas Basket that I made for one of my classes lately - a basket that can be filled with any goodies you'd like, and then it makes a great gift for someone you care about :)

Supplies:
Ink: Archival Ink - Jet Black.
Stamps: Kort & Godt/Camelia - Christmas sentiments.
Papers: Magnolia - "Sweet Red Poinettia" & "Holly Christmas Song", Bazzill - white & red cardstock.
Tools: Spellbinders - die, Martha Stewart - Swirling Lace edge punch, Magnolia - DooHickeys tag die.
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts - Poinsettias, Open Paper Roses 15 mm & 10 mm, Rosebuds 4 mm, Satin Ribbon and Self Adhesive Rhinestones, charm, silver tread.

How to make this Christmas Basket:

Dette trenger du/This is what you’ll need:
1 Kartong/Cardstock + 1 stripe i str/strip of size 4,5 x 30 cm
1 Mønsterpapir/Designer paper
Dobbeltsidig tape/Adhesives
Flytende lim/Glue
Linjal/Ruler
Skjærebrett og/eller pregebrett/Scoreboard
Saks/Scissors
Bordutstanser/Edge puncher
Spellbinders sirkel el. Doily e.l./Spellbinders circle or doily or something similar
Pynt/Embellishments

Kurv/Basket:
Kutt til 6 firkanter i kartong i str. 10 x 10 cm/Cut 6 squares of cardstock in size 10 x 10 cm.
Kutt og brett etter malen/Cut and fold like the template says:

Stans mønster på toppen av hver del med en kantutstanser/Use the edge puncher on top of each part.

Kutt til 6 stk rektangulære paneler mønsterpapir I str. 7 x 7,5 cm/Cut 6 panels of designer paper in size 7 x 7,5 cm.

Klipp til etter malen/Cut as the template says:

Lim panelene av mønsterpapir til kartongdelene/Glue the pieces of designer paper on the parts of cardstock.

Lim alle delene sammen, slik at de danner en sekskantet kurv/Glue the parts together so they become a hexagon shaped basket.

Bunn/Bottom:

Konstruer en sekskant I kartong slik: Tegn en sirkel med radius på 4 cm. Sett passerspissen i et punkt på sirkelbuen – med samme radius, og merk av et nytt punkt på sirkelbuen. Sett passerspissen i det nye punktet, og merk av et punkt til. Fortsett til du har seks punkter. Trekk rette linjer fra punkt til punkt, og klipp ut sekskanten.

Lim denne sekskanten til bunnen, på insiden av kurven.

Construate a hexagon like this: Draw a circle with a radius of 4 cm. Mark a point on the circle, then a new point 4 cm from the first, a new one 4 cm from the second…and so on, until you have 6 points on the circle. Draw straight lines from point to point, until you have a hexagon. Cut out the hexagon, and glue it to the bottom of the baskets inside.

Stans ut en Spellbinders form etter ønske, og lim denne på undersiden av kurven, som bunnplate.

Punch out a Spellbinder shape and glue it underneath the bottom of the basket, as a plate.

Håndtak/Handle:

Kutt til en stripe av kartong i str. 4,5 x 30 cm/Cut a strip of cardstock in size 4,5 x 30 cm.

Bruk kantutstanseren på begge sidene av stripen/Use the edge puncher on both sides of the strip.

Kutt til en stripe av mønsterpapir i str. 2,5 x 30 cm, og lim den på remsen av kartong/Cut a strip of designer paper in size 2,5 x 30 cm, and glue it to the strip of cardstock.

Fest håndtaket på innsiden av kurven/Glue the handle to the inside of the basket.

Kurven er nå klar til å dekoreres etter eget ønske/The basket is now ready to be embellished.

For this challenge we'd like you to make something following this theme:

I've made an ordinary Gift Bag this time, using a cute die cut picture, some georgeous papers, and lots of different amazing products from WOC of course :)

Hey!

It's a new Thursday, and it's team B's turn to "host" the challenge at Lili of the Valley today!

Our LOTV Challenge #122 is an easy peasy one:

Anything Goes!

I've made some sort of a Gate-Fold Card today, using the super cute LOTV image called "Watering Can", along with several different dies. Making the card a little bit smaller than usual, and adding 0.5 cm to each fold, created some space for a pocket-box to keep some goodies in too :)

Tutorial: Lantern à la Lena Katrine

Hi sweeties!

I've seen quite a lot of different lanterns lately, but no one like the one
I've been making in my mind for a long while now :)
So, I thought it would be a perfect creation to make at one of my classes at Unik Hobby, and yesterday 14 exited women learned to make this.
My Lantern became a great success among the ladies in my class (tusen takk for en flott kveld damer!), so I thought I'd share it with you too :)
So here's a tutorial I've made for all of you - get ready for LOTS of pictures!!!

og denne gangen skal vi lage en Lanterne Lykt!

På dette kurset skal vi lage en lykt med gammeldags/klassisk utseende, piffet opp med litt enkel og elegant dekor.

Vi skal bygge og kreere, hovedsakelig ved hjelp av ulike dies og punchere, og lage en lykt som fint kan brukes til bare pynt, eller fylles med godis av ymse slag og gis bort i gave :)

Today I thought I'd show you one of the projects I made for this amazing online magazine :)

For this challenge, I digged out an "old" Santa-image from Giordano/Joanna Sheen, coloured him with distress Inks, and made a card with 6 sides!!! Why do it the "easy" way, when you can do it the "hard" way *lol*

So get ready for lots of pictures :)

I wanted to get the feeling of peeking in on Santa through a frosty window, so I created a shaker-window by mounting 2 layers of acetat between the layers of papers, and adding white transparent glitter inside the layers of acetats :)

Norwegian Mail-Boxes with Templates

Last year before Christmas, I made a Norwegian Mail-Box as my DT-project for Unik Hobby in December.

I recived quite a few e-mails from people asking me for a template/tutorial, but unfortunately I didn't have time to make one for you then...

But now I did, so here's the template for you :)

I'm not a scrapper BUT I've made a LO :)

Hi sweeties!

First of all - I'm not a scrapper in the word of making layouts...

But with that said, I took a class in March this year, held by Trine Hansen, where I made 2 LO's...

It was fun, but I haven't made any more since then - until now :)

Last weekend when I was at the craft crop event in Ski, there was a competition,

to make a single page LO with a minimum of 3 pictures,

5 different fonts in the text, and handwriting.

I thought it was a fun way to challenge myself, and decided to give it a try :)

I was soooooo surprised, humble and happy, when I actually won the competition!!!!

This is a layout with pictures of my nephew Benjamin and myself, taken 5 years ago, when Benjamin was a newborn. I don't usually like pictures of myself, but this is a picture that I really love :)

The text says something like this:

In your auntes embrace you'll always feel safe

The handwriting is lots of words, that recounts my feelings and thoughts related to this picture.

A special thanks to my friend Maya, who helped me come up with the title, and to all of you who woted for my LO at the competition in Ski - thank you so much!
