GD Lili of the Valley August - 4th Project with a small Tutorial

Wooohooo! It's Friday!!!

I'm back with my last post as a GD for Lili of the Valley this month :)
For my last GD project, I've made two Corner Book Marks, using two of the cutest little images and sentiments from the Summer Bears Companion Stamps Set.
I've even made a small tutorial on how to make these book marks, so I hope you'll enjoy that!
I'm still using up some scraps, so I hope you've got some ideas on how to use up of some of your own scraps this month as well :)
You may also see this post at the LOTV Ideas To Inspire blog ;)

Here we go - the first one up:

Corner Book Mark 1
Size: 5" x 6"
Ink: Adirondack - Pitch Black, Distress Ink - Seddless Preserves.
Stamps: Lili of the Valley - Summer Bears Companion Stamps Set (image & sentiment).

♥♥♥

How to make a Corner Book Mark

♥ Cut Cardstock in to size 5" x 6"
♥ Find the middle of the top side messuring 6", fold in the corners.

***

Cut a panel out of DP for the front in size 4 13/16" x 5 13/16". Cut off the corners to match the grade on the Book Mark in cardstock.

***

Cut 2 panels out of DP's to the back side of the Book Mark, 1 in size 1 7/8" x 5 7/8", and 1 in size 4" x 4". Cut the square diagonally (makes 2 triangles), and use just the one triangle on the top of the back.

***

Glue the one piece of DP's on to the front of the cardstock...

***

... and the 2 pieces to the back.

***

Find/cut out bits and bobs to add to the front...

***

...and to the back.

♥ Then you're ready to embellish your Corner Book Mark as you wish.

Thank you so much to Lisa, Laila and Anne for having me as a GD this month, and
thank you so much to all of you, for supporting my GD posts at Lili of the Valley this month!
This will probably be my last LOTV post for a while ;(
I'm starting my 8 weeks of practice in Trysil next week, and along with loads of school work, and an exam coming up as well, there's not gonna be much time left for crafting for a while, I think ;(
But - I'll still be creating and blogging as often as I can :)

BIG hugs, Lena Katrine

DT Bildmålarna - Christmas Accordion Card with "Scarf"

Happy Thursday!

My first week back at school, and I've already written and delivered two papers *woohoo*

Before I went back to school on Monday, I enjoyed myself playing with some of the new goodies from Bildmålarnas Christmas collection of stamps and design papers.
This is the first card I made - a Accordion Card, using the super adorable image "Scarf" from the collection "Little Winged Friends", and the georgeous papers "Christmas Day", "Mr Snowman" & "Cut Out" from the amazing collection "Frosty Christmas" :)

The idea to the Accordion Card did I get from the latest issue of the magazine Ett trykk, even though I did'nt make it quite like one in the mag.
You may see this card, along with lots of georgeous cards from the DT-girls and GD's, at Bildmålarnas Inspiration Blog as well :)
