Ett trykk 06/09 - Using coasters: Wall-hanging framed pictures

My last project in the issue 06/09 of Ett trykk, and my other project using coasters.
I created a double wall hanging, with images from hÂnglar & stÂnglar, UTEE covered coasters, and snowflakes, bling, ribbon and pearls as embellishments.

Our next issue of Ett trykk - 01/10 is just around the corner, and you may look for it in the nearest Narvesen kiosk, or order it in our web shop from the 1th of February!

Thank you for visiting - have a lovely day!

Ett trykk 06/09 - Using Coasters: Card with a framed picture

In the December issue of Ett trykk, we also had an article about using coasters in different ways.
On this card, I've stamped an image on one coaster, painted it and added some glitter to it.
Then I punched out a big circle in another coaster, added some UTEE in different colours on it, and made a frame for my stamped picture.

Thank you for looking - have a splended day!

Ett trykk 06/09 - Tutorial: Masking-tape-technic and a card

In the December issue of Ett trykk, I also made a tutorial on how to make your own background using masking tape - that makes a quite rough and cool look, I think!

This is what you'll need:
Plain cardstock, masking tape, ink and a scalpell/scissor.

Rip off plenty of pieces of masking tape, and fasten them on the cardstock like this.

Cut off the leftover pieces of tape on the edges of the cardstock.

Rub some ink all over the taped cardstock.

Let the ink dry, and the background is ready to be used on a card.

This is how my Christmas card turned out - using the masking tape technic:

Yeasterday I spent the whole day making cards together with my mum and my children,
and that means I had a wonderful day!!
And of course I also had the pleasure to cuddle up with little Nikita too :)
She's just the sweetest puppy ever!

Here's some pictures of her, one day I was "baby-sitting" her at my home, playing around in the snow,
and when she's cuddling up on her blanket afterwards.

Are you with me, Lena?

Having fun with some roots - a bit in a hurry :)

Relaxing - and being adorable ;)

Have a great sunday everyone - I know I will :)

Just Magnolia - Jay Jay's Sketch

Bev has been so kind and sent me some stamped Tilda images - thank you sweetie ;)
And when I saw this weeks great sketch made by Jay Jay at Just Magnolia Challenges, the same day my new Magnolia papers arrived, I new I had to make a card for the challenge :)

I've decided to try out the easel-card folding, and that was quite fun - only 3 sides to do, and that goes way  "much" faster than to decorate 4 sides :)

Anyway, here's my card for this week's Challenge at Just Magnolia Jay Jay's Sketch:

Tilda is coloured with Distress Ink Refills, and I've added some Stickles on some of the details, after inspiration from the very talented Hanna.
The grunge circle is from Stempelglede's Design, and the sentiment (The best times that we have, are the ones we share) from Papirloftet.
The mix of white and blue flowers are from Papirloftet, Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima and Unik Hobby.

The patterned paper is from Magnolia Ink's "A jummy for your tummy" Collection and is called "Blackberrys",
I love this cute paper, and would love to have more of them...
So if anyone knows about any web-shops, that sells all the Magnolia Ink paper collections - please don't hesitage to let me know :)

I've used my new MS "Floral Vine" (?) border punch to make a lace, and some ribbon from the Nille store.
I've also decorated the card with punched out butterflies, bling brads from Papirloftet, and pearls from Kort & Godt.

Thank you for visiting my blog today - have a lovely Saturday!

Ett trykk 06/09 - 2 Tutorials: Headpins and Flowers with Shrinking plastic

In our last issue of Ett trykk, we had an article about shrinking-plastic.
Each of us in DT made some tutorials; I made a tutorial on how to make some head-pins, and how to make some flowers.

This is what you'll need to make the headpins;
Shrinking plastic, permanent ink, stamps, plain headpins, a circle die and a heat-gun.

Stamp some images on the plastic-sheets.

Punch out the images with a circle die, and pierce a hole in the middle.

Fasten the circles to the plain headpins, and heat it up with the heat-gun.

The circles will get thick and smaller when they're finished.

Headpins ready to use

This is what you'll need to make flowers:
Shrinking plastic, permanent ink, some flower stamps, flower punches, a hole punch and a heat-gun.

Stamp the flowers on shrinking plastic in different colours.

Punch out the flowers in different sizes.

And in different colours and shapes.

Punch a hole in the middle of each flower.

Use the heat-gun to shrink each flower.

When the flowers are still warm, you may shape them a bit, with the backside of a pencil etc.

All the flowers - cooled off.

Fasten some of the flowers together with some brads, and the flowers are ready to use.

Tomorrow I'll show you a card, where I've used my headpins and flowers as embellishment :)

Thank yu for visiting - have a great day!
Hugs, Lena Katrine
